ROBIN DALLY
Director & Founder

Information Technology and Communications (ITC) is Robin’s world.  He has become (healthily) obsessed with its capacity to adapt to and shape our society.

Studying Sociology at A-level convinced him that social change was desirable and that the most powerful tool to bring it about was mass media.

Going on to study Sociology at Goldsmiths (University of London) and then an MA in Media and Communications, Robin became passionate about progress but confused as to its meaning.

Before he turned ITC entrepreneur, Robin spent 3 years at the British Council in London, providing high level customer service to the Foreign Office and powerful overseas individuals and institutions.

Setting up Norfolk Computer services in 2001, Robin started to learn more about the world of business and how his passion for ITC could be a benefit in targeted and pragmatic operations.

His next venture was Free Online Games Player and through this experimental project Robin realised the power of online marketing, developing and marketing entertainment websites that received hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.

In 2009 Robin was able to integrate his wealth of experience to form Ethical SEO, which has since grown to help a variety of businesses achieve online success.

As Ethical SEO, Robin is now the hub of a network of professionals that includes social media gurus, CRM consultants, back-end developers, journalists and qualitative researchers.

KATIE FEWINGS
Communications Manager

Katie FewingsKatie’s love affair with language and communication dates back to her schooldays when she got top marks for her ‘Beginner’s Guide to Playing the Violin’ and won a writing competition for expressing the depths plumbed on failing her Grade 5 Theory of Music exam (oh the irony).

She followed up this promising start with a BA in Modern Languages (French, Spanish & Portuguese) from the University of Sheffield and went on to teach English in Barcelona – another opportunity to hone those communication skills.

After spending nearly four years as PA to the director of an internationally renowned firm of architects in London, Katie became almost as renowned for her fierce attention to detail and passion for proofreading.

She took this experience with her to Brighton and the post of project manager at the online ethical travel directory, responsibletravel.com. In this role, she organised the annual Responsible Tourism Awards with partners World Travel Market, The Telegraph, Geographical Magazine and BBC World News, and facilitated a programme to develop and support community based tourism with the Washington NGO, Conservation International.

Katie has always had a strong interest in sustainability, social responsibility and justice, and in 2006 set up her own website, Ethical Weddings (www.ethicalweddings.com) to help couples plan the wedding of their dreams without compromising their values. She also co-founded and ran from 2007 to 2010 Our Ethical Network in Brighton to give ethically motivated businesses in the city the chance to meet one another, share common problems and explore business opportunities.

Katie is a woman of many projects.  At the time of writing she runs Ethical Weddings, works as Communications Coordinator for Action for Market Towns (a charity that supports and campaigns for the UK’s small towns), and is the Communications Manager for Ethical SEO – helping clients make their online presence known as effectively, concisely and accurately as possible.
